Out in the country

Now Dogs of Deal vol 3 has gone to print, I’ve had time to work on other things and – yesterday – spent an enjoyable day at a truly breathtaking multi-barn conversion in the Kent countryside called The Roseyard. On this occasion , it’s a words project, with Jody Stewart doing the snapping but here are some of my totally non-professional views of a magical spot. What a place for a wedding or family Christmas (there’s even an indoor pool).

The main building of the Roseyard is an enormous barn with a fabulous finish.

One of my favourite parts is how the original exterior wall shape on the left has been accommodated. Original features like beams, odd-shaped windows and sliding farm doors work well with the sleek modern finish.
